What account size do I need to run Vanguard?+
For the backtest results shown on this page, we recommend a $150K account for comfortable account safety. The backtest's max drawdown was about $3,618, so keeping at least $5K of available drawdown gives a comfortable safety buffer above it to ride out the strategy's equity swings without breaching limits. It isn't strictly required, just a safety margin. That said, Vanguard runs exclusively on MES (the Micro E-mini S&P 500), so margin requirements themselves are low.
Is automated trading allowed on funded prop firm accounts?+
Most futures prop firms allow automated strategies, but rules vary. The firms we list (BluSky, Lucid, MyFundedFutures, Bulenox) are algo-friendly. Always confirm your specific firm's current rules on automation before running Aegis algos on a funded account.
Do I need to leave my computer running all day?+
You only need NinjaTrader running during the NY session. Start it before the open and the algo handles everything until the session closes. Many users run it on a cheap VPS so they don't need to keep their own PC on — we cover VPS recommendations in the setup guide.
What instruments does Vanguard trade?+
Vanguard trades one instrument only: MES, the Micro E-mini S&P 500 on the CME. The strategy is built and optimized specifically for MES — its tight spreads, deep liquidity, and NY-session volatility. It is not designed, tested, or supported for any other market, and we do not recommend running it on anything other than MES.
Do I need coding or trading experience?+
No coding required. If you can install software and follow a step-by-step guide, you can set up Vanguard. Basic familiarity with NinjaTrader helps, but the included guide walks you through everything from installation to going live. 30 days of email support is included.
Are the results guaranteed?+
Absolutely not. Nothing about Vanguard is guaranteed. Every performance figure shown on this page comes from backtesting on historical data using NinjaTrader's Strategy Analyzer — these are simulated, hypothetical results, not live trading results. Past performance does not, and never will, guarantee future results. Backtested and simulated results have inherent limitations and frequently differ from actual live performance. Trading futures involves substantial risk — you can lose some or all of your capital. Vanguard is only a tool — your actual results depend on markets, execution, settings and risk management.
How do I know AEGIS is legit and not a scam?+

Every number on this page comes straight from NinjaTrader's Strategy Analyzer, and you receive the full trade-by-trade backtest export so you can audit all 1,327 trades yourself. After purchase you can run Vanguard in NinjaTrader's free Sim Mode and watch it trade on live market data without putting real trading capital at risk.
Can I test Vanguard in simulation before trading it live?+
Yes. Vanguard runs in NinjaTrader's free Simulation Mode, so once it's yours you can watch every entry, exit, stop and target fire in real time on live market data — without risking any real trading capital. We recommend running it in Sim through at least one full NY session so you're comfortable with exactly how it behaves before you switch it to a live account.
What happens if the strategy stops working?+
Honestly: no trading strategy works forever — markets change, and Vanguard is no exception. There is no guarantee of future performance. What you get is full ownership of the strategy file and recommended settings for life, the ability to run it in Sim Mode any time to monitor how it's behaving, and control over your own position sizing and risk. Treat it as a tool you manage — not a money printer — and never risk more than you can afford to lose.
What support do I get after I buy?+
Every purchase includes 30 days of email support to get you installed, configured and running — plus the step-by-step setup guide and our recommended broker and prop-firm configuration. You keep the strategy file and all documentation for life.
What's your refund policy?+
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances. Vanguard is a digital product delivered as a file, and once your purchase is complete the sale is final and non-refundable — no exceptions, no partial refunds, no chargebacks. This is standard for algorithmic trading products and protects the intellectual property, which cannot be "returned" once delivered. By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
Monthly plan vs buying Vanguard — what's the difference?+
Vanguard ($3,500 one-time) — you own the strategy file, install it in your NinjaTrader, and run it yourself, forever, with no recurring cost. Monthly plan ($200/month) — the algos run on our infrastructure and your account copies the fleet's trades through a lightweight handler: nothing to install beyond the receiver, nothing to maintain, always the latest versions, cancel anytime. Own the tool, or subscribe to the feed — pick the style that suits you.
Do I get the strategy files with the monthly plan?+
No — that's the point. The strategies never leave our servers. You install only the Aegis Signal Handler, a lightweight NinjaScript receiver that places the fleet's trades in your account as they happen. When your subscription ends, the feed stops. If you'd rather own a strategy outright, that's what the Vanguard lifetime license is for. And if you plan to run it on a funded prop-firm account, confirm your firm's rules on automated and copied trading first.
How does monthly plan billing and cancellation work?+
The subscription is $200 USD per month, billed at the start of each period, and it renews automatically until you cancel. Cancel anytime — via the manage-subscription link in your welcome email and receipts, or by emailing support@aegis-algo.com — and the feed stays live through the end of the period you've already paid for. No partial-month refunds. You can resubscribe whenever you like.
